Dragonfall Meta

Living World Season 4 Episode 6

Outpost Phase

There are 3 outposts or “shards” in Dragonfall. Each outpost has a tier from 1-4 determining event progress. All 3 outposts must be raised to T4 to progress the meta. Raising each tier requires both the completion of the Influence bar, determined by overall event completion in that region, and the completion of a primary event series for that tier.

The three outposts are:

Crystal Blooms (Fissure of Woe, North)

Olmakhan (Underworld, West)

Mist Wardens (Melandru’s Domain, East)

Crystal Blooms (T1): Escort event begins from the northwest gate. Enemies will spawn periodically and must be cleared to get the event moving. A bridge event will need to be completed. Final boss is a random Champion Branded (Priest, Devourer, Hydra).

Olmakhan (T1): Escort event begins from the southwest gate. Enemies will spawn periodically and must be cleared to get the event moving. This is the longest escort by far, but there is no bridge event. Final boss is a random Champion Branded (Priest, Devourer, Hydra).

Mist Wardens (T1): Escort event begins from southeast gate. Enemies will spawn periodically and must be cleared to get the event moving. A bridge event will need to be completed. Final boss is a random Champion Branded (Priest, Devourer, Hydra).

Common events: All 3 areas have an Influence bar that must be raised by completing events around the area. Most of these events are common to all 3 areas.

-Cull enemies: Requires clearing an area of enemies, with a mix between regular and veteran enemies.

-Patrol: Defend friendly npcs from waves of enemies.

-Pilot: Rescue a friendly npc from enemies and escort him back to the outpost.

-Champion: A specific champion enemy with a set spawn location.

-Mender: Escort a friendly npc to a set point, kill 3 magic siphons, and defeat a Champion Branded Mender.

-Supply (T4 only): Escort a supply bull to another outpost. Gives progress towards the destination camp’s Influence.

-Escort (T4 only): A one-time escort event starting at Pact Command and ending at each outpost.

All outposts (T2): Brandstorm escort begins from outpost after a short delay. Escort several friendly npcs through several different locations with area progress bars. Event may overlap with Cull or Patrol events.

Crystal Blooms (T3): Collect Eternal Embers around the area. Approaching a node will spawn a random enemy who also drops an Eternal Ember. Turn it in by approaching the npc at the outpost.

Olmakhan (T3): Collect Soul Binders around the area. Approaching a node will spawn a random enemy who also drops a Soul Binder. Turned in by approaching the npc at the outpost.

Mist Wardens (T3): Collect Melandru’s Tears around the area. Approaching a node will spawn a random enemy who also drops Melandru’s Tears. Turned in by approaching the npc at the outpost.

Crystal Blooms (T4): Test Eternal Embers by destroying 6 branded assemblers found on clifftops around the area. Eternal Embers now grant a 3-use special action key that does damage and stuns in a target area and can be thrown while mounted or gliding. After all 6 assemblers are destroyed, 3 branded turrets will spawn to the east of the zone and must also be destroyed with Eternal Embers. Both targets are unattackable with normal attacks.

Olmakhan (T4): Test Soul Binders by catching and killing 3 “fast” branded enemies marked on the map. Approaching these enemies while mounted will trigger a special action key to root them and stop them running around. After all 3 die, test Soul Binders by dragging Branded Debris found floating in the sky down. Approaching will trigger a special action key, double-tap it to destroy the debris.

Mist Wardens (T4): Clear a landing zone for the pact to the north of the outpost by holding a large area. Once complete, a large golem will spawn at the event point and must be killed. It has a large number of area attacks and should be cc’d to stop its damage.

Pre Meta Phase

Once all four camps reach T4, pre-events will spawn with four events per outpost area.

-Two ley-line reflector escort events starting at the outpost, similar to the brandstorm events from T1 that require you to escort npcs to several locations and defend at each one.

-Two brandstorm disruptor events per outpost starting close to the center of the map. Single-area defense events against a large number of branded.

At some point during pre-phase a Shrine will spawn at each outpost, close to the center of the map. These can be used as respawn and teleport points, even while in combat. Supplies of Dragonsblood Spears and Eternal Embers can also be found here, which give 10 uses of a special action key each. The spears are required for the meta event.

Boss Phase

Once all pre-phase events have completed, a 2-minute timer counts down to the start of the boss fight. Once this timer expires, the central Brandstorm will dissipate and the area will be accessible. This area is littered with unattackable branded turrets as well as many branded enemies of all ranks. This phase has a 20 minute time limit.

Weak Points: The objective of the fight is to deplete Kralkatorrik’s health by destroying 12 Weak Points around his body. Only 3 of these will be available at once, and several people must group up at one to make it attackable. Once a Weak Point is destroyed, a new one will be revealed somewhere. Destroyed Weak Points also spawn vertical ley-lines that can be used to get around or get height to mount up again.

Menders: Once a Weak Point is first revealed, an Elite Mender will spawn and move towards it, shielding it and granting it retaliation. If not killed, the Mender will restore the shield and make the weak point unattackable. These should be focused down to prevent this, only afterwards turning to the Weak Point.

Crystal Pylons: Through the entire fight, pylons will spawn in midair around Kralkatorrik. The event info will track how many are spawned, and while they do not attack directly, if 10 are ever spawned at once a lightning storm will cover the entire boss arena and all Weak Points will go invulnerable. These can be destroyed by getting close while mounted and double-tapping the special action key that appears, similar to the Branded Debris. A dedicated team of 3-4 people should focus on this at all times.

Mid-phase: After 6 weak points are destroyed, all weak points deactivate temporarily and 3 legendary bosses spawn around Kralkatorrik. These bosses must be killed to progress, but they must also be killed within 30 seconds of each other. Once one dies, you have 30 seconds before it revives at 75% health unless all 3 are dead within that time. All 3 bosses have a shield that must be destroyed using the Dragonsblood Spear special action key before they will take significant damage.

-Death-Branded Wrathbringer: Has quite a few AoE damage fields and an AoE pull. Also shields himself from damage periodically for ~10 seconds. Should be the boss to call the burn in case he shields when the burn is called.

-Riftstalker Matriarch: Has standard Riftstalker attack patterns, with the addition of random lightning strikes constantly around her. Seems to have the lowest health of the bosses.

-Branded Hydra: Has standard Branded Hydra attacks, with breath, charge, and crystal meteors.

Once all 3 bosses die, the Weak Points will be available again. The remaining 6 must be destroyed to end the fight, at which point everyone will be transported to the Northwest Shrine during an unskippable cutscene.

Ley-line Boss Phase

There will be 8 Mistborn chests at the Northwest shrine, the primary loot for completing the boss fight. A 19:30 timer will start, after which the map will reset everyone back to the Pact WP and the events will reset back to the start.

At 18:00 on the timer, the first 3 of 9 Ley-line bosses will spawn. These bosses are champ-level enemies that each have two random bounty abilities. Each time a boss from a shard is killed, the next one in that area will spawn.

Fissure of Woe

-Branded Ogre: Spawns directly northwest of the Fissure of Woe shrine, and thus very close to loot.

-Hydra: Spawns in the southwest corner of the Fissure of Woe shard, very close to the waypoint.

-Shadow Elemental: Spawns in the northeast corner of the Fissure of Woe shard. Likes to run into a corner and spam fire AoEs.

Underworld

-Branded Forgotten Priest: Spawns in the northwest corner of the Underworld shard.

-Ghost Flayer: Spawns in the southwest corner of the Underworld shard. Bring some cc to prevent teleporting around.

-Branded Air Elemental: Spawns in the southeast corner of the Underworld shard.

Melandru’s Domain

-Branded Hydra: Spawns on a high plateau in the northwest corner of the Melandru’s Domain shard, only easily reachable by jackal portal or bouncing mushroom.

-Nature Elemental: Spawns to the north of the Melandru’s Domain shard on the road.

-Branded Devourer: Spawns in the very northwest corner of Melandru’s Domain shard, close to the Pact waypoint.

The ideal kill order seems to be

Ogre -> Hydra -> Forgotten Priest -> Ghost Flayer -> Air Elemental -> Branded Hydra -> Nature Elemental -> Devourer -> Shadow Elemental
