Meta Overview

The Verdant Brink meta-event, Night Attacks, happens every two hours, starting 45 minutes after the hour.
The Night Time Bosses happens 25 minutes after this, 10 minutes after the hour.
The meta’s time limit is 45 minutes.

Night Meta Map Overview:

Take note of the RALLY POINTS your squad is in charge of.
Commanders will do SQUAD MARKERS assigned for each sub for easy recognition.

Please take note on your left upper screen which sub you are assigned.
Those who are not yet in a META SQUAD, are advised to join one for proper body distribution in the whole map.

The following are squad commander allocations based on how many tags available (1-5 tags). In a 1-tag VB T4 Night Meta, each sub squad is assigned to each camp. Then they will distribute themselves to 4 Rally Points in that specific camp.

Jaka Itzel: NE
Pale Reaver Rally: SE
Pact Encampment: MID
Ordnance Corps: NW
Noble Crash Site: SW

There are 5 posts with 4 rally points each, for a total of 20 with at least 3 people per rally point.

The Max Rally Point is Tier 5.

Squad Distribution

5 Tag VB Set-Up. The ideal set-up for an easy meta. Each commander will just focus on 4 camps.

4-tag VB Set-Up. Each commander will have 5 Rally Points to watch out for.

3-tag VB Set-Up. Each commander will have 7/7/6 Rally Points to worry about.

2-tag VB Set-Up. This requires each commander to watch out for 10 camps on both sides, difficult but still doable.

1-tag VB set-up.

Sample 1-tag T4 VB meta. Take note of squad distribution: sub 1 is lobby for newcomers waiting to be assigned in a sub/camp. Sub 2-6 are camps. Each Sub distribute themselves to their designated rally points (4 rally points in 1 camp/sub). The commander stays in sub 1 since he/she will hop from camp to camp after checking on Rally Point Status especially those with a “losing camp sign” seen in map.

The basics of commanding and the commander's role:

VB commander:

  1. Mark the rally points assigned to the squad

  2. Distribute the squad in subs with minimum 3 people each sub squad (2 persons per sub is survivable, not recommended unless there is really a huge lack of players doing the meta, solo defending is based on player's skills).

  3. Assign each sub squad to a rally point, i.e. sub 2-arrow, sub3-circle,sub4-heart and so on..

  4. Sub 1 usually is a “lobby” for newcomers in squad waiting to be assigned in a rally point after they taxi to map.

For all commanders:

Note:

There are only limited squad markers available and cannot cover the entire map rally points. Different options can be substituted such as:
1. For 2-tag VB meta, (10 rally points per commander) the 2 rally points near the waypoints can be the marker, squad message as example:

RIGHT SIDE

SUB 2-ARROW
SUB 3-CIRCLE
SUB 4-HEART
SUB 5- SQUARE
SUB 6 – STAR
SUB 7- SPIRAL
SUB 8 – TRIANGLE
SUB 9 – X
SUB 10- PACT ENCAMPMENT WAYPOINT
SUB 11- SHROUDED RUINS WAYPOINT

LEFT SIDE

SUB 2-ARROW
SUB 3-CIRCLE
SUB 4-HEART
SUB 5- SQUARE
SUB 6 – STAR
SUB 7- SPIRAL
SUB 8 – TRIANGLE
SUB 9 – X
SUB 10- MELLAGAN’S VALOR WAYPOINT
SUB 11- TOP OF FAREN’S FLYER WAYPOINT

2. The squad commander in a 1-tag VB meta can ask the members to check map while you ping the designated rally points per sub squad/camp  but it would require too much effort (still doable).

Pre-chopper Events

PHASES: DEF 1 - ESCORT/SUPPLY 1 - DEF 2 - ESCORT/SUPPLY 2 - DEF 3 - NIGHT BOSSES

DEF 2 @ 34:30

DEF 3 @ 24:30

For a successful T-4 Meta, make sure to stay active before the choppers drop through these events:

1. DEFEND YOUR RALLY POINT

recapture and retain control, not necessarily killing all mobs but only those who enters the square. It should always be in BLUE COLOR.

2. GET PACT SUPPLIES TO INCREASE TIERS OF RALLY POINTS –

Each Pact Supply deposited increases the supply level by 1/5 of a tier and each escorted Pact soldier raises it by a full level.

3. ESCORT PACT SOLDIER TO THE NEAREST RALLY POINT – successful escort: destination rally point will be fully upgraded to the next tier, fail escort: new escort will appear between approximately 30-60sec.(successful escort will also spawn another after 30-60sec)

4. KILL NIGHT BOSSES- you can kill any boss you want, only in the def phase that we need to be evenly distributed. Boss waypoints will be given before the phase.

Also remember:

1. Higher tier of a rally point = more rally defenses such as barricades and turrets = easier to defend with less people. Retake any lost Rally Point/s.

2. Call out in squad chat after every wave the status of your rally point to let your commander know (rally point lost/rally point tier) for SUPPLY SHIFT FOCUS whichever rally point has low tier.

3. Extra pact supplies=call in squad/map chat for rally points with low tiers. Supplies/escort to a max Tier 5 rally point refreshes barricades and turrets. Vet mobs killed also adds in Tier progress.

VeT Overgrown Husk,Vet Mordrem Leeching Thrasher, Vet Mordrem Teragriff, Vet Mordrem Troll scattered through Dry Step Mesas,Hidden Copse, Blighted Depths, Thistlevine Ravine, Treacherous Paths, Broken Bluffs, Heartless Pass, whichever is near to your assigned Rally Point.

Night Bosses

Axemaster Gwyllion - [&BO8HAAA=]

Cotoni and Huetzi - [&BOAHAAA=]

Tetrad of Mordrem Champs - [&BMsHAAA=]

Matriarch - [&BAgIAAA=]

Patriarch - [&BAEIAAA=]

Go to the chopper that will appear in a successfully defended rally point > option 1 to go up.
*Axemaster Gwyllion: ports anywhere nearby the connected islands, if CC bar is open.. break it. Otherwise, heavy DPS.
*Frogs Cotoni and Huetzi: if any of the frogs disappears, he will probably heal upstairs. Use the bouncing mushrooms to chase him and stop him from healing.
*Tetrad consists of 3 champs + 1 boss: the Boss will appear when all 3 champs are dead. First part: 3 champs, make use of the 3 adrenaline mushrooms around to reset skill CDs during the 3 champs killing time. Necros' epidemic will be very useful for faster kills.  After the champs die, the main boss will appear. Dodge his melee attacks, jump on his waves or stand near the pillar. 1 adrenaline mushroom will be accessible on this phase. Maintain CC or he won't stay put and this will delay the kill.
*Matriarch: easy to kill if CC is maintained. Bring heavy CCs when killing this boss and use it when the blue bar is up, stack tight so she won't do charge skills.
*Patriarch: shields on 75% 50% and 25% HP. Use the updrafts and glide to grab wyvern eggs and toss it to Patriarch to decrease shield viability.

Kill the boss nearest to your point or whichever you need achievement.  Please inform map chat for HP status or which boss is dead so we all know where to go next.  Call in map which Vet and Boss died already, so people know where to look next. Please wait for the timer to run out (right side of your screen) to receive meta reward.

Important:

After Tier 4 is achieved.. Stay in map so your reward won’t be depleted If you do not have 100% participation yet, you can do escorts/kill Vets/level up rally point. To check participation %: chest above mini map > click it > 2nd tab.

Tips:
If you are having trouble defending, you can leave 1 mob (with sword above the head) alive so the next batch will not spawn.
If you see a crash, spam F(salvage) so it will spill out more supplies before it completely burns out. The skill has a 5-sec cooldown.
Prioritize escort. After you did a successful/failed escort go back to the same spawn location, there will be another after 30-60sec. Rinse and repeat.

Check the mordrem bar in your right screen during defense phases: if it fills with white, there are more mordrem than players/allies in the point, if it completely fills you will lose your point.
